Three Months Old!!!!

Here is a picture that I took of Zoe for her three month pictures. I'm sure you'll be amazed at the changes that are taking place...I know I am. So three months old!!! New milestones reached...not sure there are any new ones that I've not mentioned yet. She's said "mama"...but of course it only means she can now produce consonant sounds. Don't get your hopes up...she's not yet said her first word. Her personality is starting to shine through now. She's such a happy and content child...always smiling and laughing. I'll tell you, it'll melt your heart.

The "Buscher 3 Plus 1" Clan

Twelve weeks old today. Seriously, what did we do before we had this baby??? I really can't remember. It's been such a natural transition in life...something that I did not expect at all. Not a whole lot of milestones this week. She's taking after her mom in talking...talking all the time, only her conversations are filled with ahhs, oooooos, agoos, and squeals. We have many conversations a day where we just share "ahhs and oooos". Very fufilling, I must say, if you've never tried it. And as silly as it sounds, mocking her sounds and talking to her when she's quiet helps teach her how to have real conversations, talking while the other listens. She's learning, and she thoroughly enjoys being mimicked. She's beginning to express displeasure sounds when she wants us to do something again....like the "superbaby" game where she's gently lifted in the air above our heads. She'll laugh while in the air, begin to whimper when you put her down, and in mid cry, laugh again when you put her back up. This, I'm assuming, is baby talk for "do it again, daddy!" When you take time to decode baby talk, it's amazing how much they really do communicate with us.

Pumpkin Patch '07

Zoe went to her first pumkin patch this morning. She was mesmorized by the bright orange colors and just by being outside. It's hard to believe that this time last year I was just weeks away from discovering that I was growing a tiny baby inside me....have I mentioned my amazement at how fast time flies? I'm sure I drove my husband insane by taking so many pictures. But me being the photography lover I am, I can't waste any opportunites...especially those that are the "firsts".

Two and a half months old

Zoe is changing by the moment. She's making new milestones each day...and each one is equally as special to her dad and me. She's been batting at objects lately and intentionally tries to grab at toys that catch her eye. It's obvious that she's figured out that she has hands...and is working on trying to discover how they work. If you happen to be in the path of a toy being swung back and forth in her hand, watch out. She's mastered grabbing the toy, but hasn't yet discovered how to let go, so she just swings her arms wildly in all directions. Danger zone......
