Walking has opened up a whole new world for Zoe. She has become Miss Independent and is able to do all sorts of stuff by herself. Yesterday, we allowed her to hold a spoon for the first time to get the feel for having that kind of utensil in her hand. Much to our surprise, she had the right idea from first touch. With a gentle guiding of her hand, she moved her hand towards her mouth and ate from her spoon. Today, she didn't need much guidance. She'd reach for the spoon herself and take it from there. I guess I shouldn't be that surprised. She's been fed enough by us, but lately, she's been able to eat just about everything with her hands. We have yet to get the hang of scooping food up and then eating, but we're making progress.
